Temporary Event Structure Provides Flexible Outdoor Space

The requirement for a temporary event structure came from a hotel, wedding and events venue in the Northeastern region of Alsace in France. The venue offers accommodation in their luxury hotel plus corporate events, weddings and private celebrations.

The main function room of the hotel was capable of holding 45 seated guests and the venue also offered their stunning woodland and outdoor landscaped grounds as open-air event space in good weather. With plans to increase the number and size of functions though, they needed an additional space that was somewhere between these two options; providing an indoor space, outdoors. The obvious solution was a temporary marquee structure, but something that could remain in situ during the Summer months and taken down and stored over Winter

The venue did some internet research and found HTS TENTIQ. Although 2 other companies were considered, once the Technical Sales Representative for that region visited the venue and presented the huge range of structures and options available, alongside the company’s achievements, they soon realised that HTS TENTIQ was a perfect fit!

Keeping with the theme of an indoor space with an outdoor ambience, HTS TENTIQ supplied a temporary event structure with Panoramic Polyglass Wall and Roof Panels; providing all the comforts of being indoors, but ensuring the beauty of the natural surroundings were able to enhance the occasion.

Although HTS TENTIQ often carry out installations, on this occasion an event partner of the company was bought into the project for the initial assembly of the structure and the ongoing disassembly, storage and reassembly.

The temporary event structure has been christened ‘The Pergola’ and can host up to 120 guests. It is now offered as a brand-new outdoor event space that has all the comforts of being indoors.

The setting of The Pergola is simply stunning, sited next to the natural woodland but still very close to the hotel itself for washroom and catering facilities. The ability to have the wall panels open or closed depending on the weather can add to the ‘outdoor’ experience and the sturdy, attractive parquet floor ensures yet another element of comfort.

From a commercial perspective the venue can now offer just about every type of event space imaginable – ranging from indoor small intimate parties to large scale outdoor event with weather protection and temperature control if needed.
