Temporary Supermarkets for UK Wide Project

HTS TENTIQ’s customer was a supermarket chain that was undergoing an extensive period of major store redevelopment across the country. During this essential but potentially disruptive work, the supermarket needed to make sure its loyal customers didn’t start shopping with the competition due to a lack of product availability or space.

To oversee the programme, the client needed to create high quality temporary retail stores in various sizes at multiple locations UK wide.

500 m² of fast quality, on-site temporary retail space. The building insulation properties were enhanced with a Thermo inflatable roof system plus glass and composite insulated wall panels providing an insulation “u” value of .35.

To create the right facility for extensive public use an electrically operated pedestrian entrance door unit was installed along with 2 x (MOE) means of escape door units, an entrance canopy, a trolley bay and a fully integrated gutter system.

The building was constructed onto the existing site ground and a cassette floor was fitted providing a point loading of 500kg per m² when overlaid with 22.00mm ply.

Once the first temporary supermarket project was realised successfully, the customer has since leased numerous insulated temporary buildings for other store redevelopment projects, ensuring the UK improvement projects was implemented without any disruption or inconvenience to valued customers.
