Stock Back On-Site with HTS Storage Buildings

Requirements

Some on-site storage buildings were required for a national manufacturer of cleaning products. When off-site storage costs with a global logistics company were becoming too prohibitive for the company, they began considering other options.

Using temporary on-site storage buildings meant they could eliminate the off-site storage costs much quicker than if they chose a more permanent solution such as steel or traditional buildings. And, not only would it mean saving costs much quicker, but also the payback period on temporary buildings would be much less than that of a more permanent structure. Notice was served on the off-site storage and the task of finding a reliable on-site storage building provider began in earnest!

Solution

The company carried out the usual cost comparison exercises and although HTS TENTIQ was able to offer a premium made to order building at low factory prices, it was more the initial response to their enquiries that pushed them further towards HTS TENTIQ.

Construction methods in particular were very variable with only HTS TENTIQ insisting on the safest method of installation using a concrete base and chemical resin anchors in order to achieve the highest structural safety credentials. Additionally, HTS TENTIQ is one of the few companies who provide structural calculations that are site specific and not generic to a region or country.

The two buildings manufactured, delivered and installed by HTS TENTIQ were as follows:

  • 2 x on-site storage buildings, linked together – 25.00m x 30.00m x 6.20m / 15.00m x 45.00m x 6.20m
  • Single layer PVC roof
  • Aluminum personnel doors and manual roller shutter doors
  • External gutter system and down pipes
  • Specified and manufactured to meet the site-specific structural calculations
  • Build time – 9 days

Benefits

The speed of delivery and installation meant the client could move all their storage back on-site before the off-site contract finished. The second building was installed close to an off-loading area which saw a continual stream of vehicles for loading and unloading purposes. HTS TENTIQ was able to safely and expertly work around the activity so the client could keep the site fully operational at all times during the build program.
