Bolt-on Lean-to Structure for Garden Centre

Requirements

With an ever increasing line of gardening related products, this major retailer needed additional space at their busy retail store in time for anticipated increased seasonal demand. After studying the feasibility of a permanent construction, the clients’ property department decided a demountable modular lean-to structure solution would best suit the overall project needs in terms of speed of design, manufacturing, delivery, ease of installation and cost.

Solution

A modular lean-to building was designed and manufactured in compliance to UK building regulations. The building measured 5.00m in width x 20.00m in length and incorporated a variety of special features including, double glazed walling, composite roof panels with electronic skylights, means of escape fire doors and internal lighting. The building was designed to be independent of the main building meaning in terms of construction. Therefore, when the store wanted to remove the lean-to building the existing permanent building was reinstated to its original look and finish without the need for any additional construction works.

Benefits

This particular project was joint venture project which was managed and delivered to the end client via one of our UK based customers, Mar-Key Group.
