Environmental Management and Occupational Health & Safety Strategy
Sustainable practices and responsible corporate governance are integral parts of our business processes. Our current certified focus is on environmental management.
In addition, we are pursuing a clear strategy to further develop our internal standards in the area of health and safety in the workplace. In this context, it is planned to firmly integrate management systems for occupational health and safety into the company’s operational processes and continually improve them, with ISO 45001 certification targeted for the first half of 2026.
Our Core Principles in Environmental Management and Occupational Health & Safety Strategy
We operate according to clearly defined principles in order to systematically consider environmental aspects and continuously develop our internal standards. Our currently certified focus lies in environmental management. Measures in the area of health and safety at work form an integral part of our strategic development.
Working Environment & Management Systems
We systematically consider environmental aspects in our business processes and adopt sustainable practices to minimise our potential impact on the environment. In parallel, we are continuously developing internal standards that structurally address health and safety at work.
Effective environmental management systems ensure high levels of environmental awareness within our workforce, encouraging every employee to act in an environmentally responsible manner in their daily activities.
Recycling and Resource Conservation
We strive to handle all wastage generated during the marquee manufacturing process in a resource-efficient manner and manage it using environmentally friendly and sustainable recycling methods.
The recyclability of our core product lines is around 88% – meaning that at the end of a product’s long life, the majority of component parts can be fully recycled.
Environmental Responsibility in the Supply Chain
As part of our environmental management, we place great importance on encouraging our suppliers and sub-contractors to behave in a responsible manner. The goal is to maintain sound environmental practices and promote sustainability throughout the supply chain.
Continuous Improvement of Environmental Performance
We aim to improve the environmental performance of our processes and products through the research and development of new technologies, preventing and reducing emissions and releases, minimising waste, and controlling noise within the scope of our operational capabilities.
Sustainable Use of Resources
An essential part of our environmental management is contributing to sustainable development by using energy, water, and raw materials efficiently, thus systematically minimising our use of natural resources.
Product Stewardship
Our goal is to promote the recovery, recycling, and reuse of our commercial marquees and tents, and to work closely with our customers to understand the environmental effects of our products throughout their entire life cycle, supporting responsible handling after their useful life.
Environmental Management in Practice
The objective of our environmental management is to systematically reduce the potential environmental impact of our activities through the use of sustainable procedures and continuous improvements. Around 88% of the materials in an average demountable warehouse building are recyclable. At the end of its useful life, the majority of the components used can be fully recycled.
- Substantial energy savings can be made by using waste materials rather than raw materials; these energy savings can be achieved by reducing transportation emissions and the processing of raw materials.
- The amount of material that ends up in landfill is reduced. This not only prolongs the life of the currently diminishing landfill sites but also reduces the amount of gases released into the atmosphere from this process.
- Aluminium and steel – the main components used in our demountable buildings and temporary warehouse buildings – also have a scrap value, potentially rendering the process of disposing of the material at the end of its life neutral or positive.
Demonstrating a resolute commitment to continually reduce any environmental impact, HTS TENTIQ has been awarded ISO 14001 certification in Environmental Management. To achieve this accreditation, a detailed and effective company environmental management system was implemented that is continually tested, benchmarked, measured, and improved.
