Health and Safety & Environmental Responsibility
At HTS TENTIQ, we are committed to continuous improvement in health and safety as well as environmental protection. A commitment clearly demonstrated by our ISO 14001 certification. We firmly believe that ongoing development in these areas is essential to the long-term success of our business.
We strive to encourage a rigorous health and safety culture within the organisation, one that empowers all employees to take responsibility and actively promote safe, sustainable working practices. These efforts also contribute significantly to strengthening environmental responsibility across the entire organisation.
Our core safety and environmental principles
Working Environment & Management Systems
We are committed in providing a safe and healthy workplace for our employees and minimising the potential impact on the environment through the adoption of sustainable practices and continuous improvement in environmental performance.
Effective environmental management systems ensure environmental awareness within our workforce, encouraging every employee to act in an environmentally responsible manner.
Recycling
We strive to recycle all wastage generated during the marquee manufacturing process using environmentally friendly and sustainable methods. The recyclability of our core product lines are 88% – meaning at the end of a product’s long life, the majority of component parts can be fully recycled.
Suppliers and Contractors
To encourage suppliers and sub-contractors to behave in a responsible manner and to maintain sound environmental practices.
Continuous Improvement
To improve the environmental performance of our processes and products through research and development of new technologies, preventing and reducing emissions and releases, minimising waste and controlling noise.
Sustainable Development
To contribute to sustainable development by using energy, water and raw materials efficiently, thus minimising our use of natural resources.
Product Stewardship
To promote the recovery, recycling and re-use of our commercial marquees and tents and to work with our customers to understand the environmental effects of our products throughout their life cycle.
Working with the Environment
We are committed to minimising our environmental impact through the use of sustainable practices and continuous improvement in environmental protection. On average, 88 % of the materials used in a modular lightweight building can be recycled. At the end of their lifecycle, the majority of components are recyclable. Recycling offers a wide range of positive benefits:
- Using recycled materials instead of raw materials can lead to significant energy savings, particularly by reducing the energy required for transporting and processing raw resources.
- It reduces the volume of waste sent to landfill and lowers emissions released into the atmosphere during the disposal process.
- Aluminium and steel – the primary materials used in our modular buildings and temporary storage structures – retain a residual scrap value, which often makes end-of-life disposal cost-neutral or even profitable.
Our ISO 14001 certification highlights our strong commitment to keeping the environmental impact of our operations as low as possible. As part of this, we have implemented a detailed and effective environmental management system, which is continually reviewed and improved. This ensures we meet the highest environmental standards and actively support a more sustainable future.
Our Environmental and Quality Certifications
Our certifications reflect our strong commitment to both quality and sustainability.
ISO 9001 Certification for Quality Management
HTS TENTIQ has been certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 since June 2006, delivering the highest quality in the design, manufacturing, rental and sale of aluminium tent systems and clear-span structures.
Our ISO 9001 certification is a testament to our rigorous quality management system and confirms that we consistently exceed the requirements of ISO audits. This ensures that we continuously meet and improve upon safety standards and occupational health and safety guidelines.
In addition, we are fully committed to advancing environmental protection and sustainability across all areas of our business. Our products are developed and manufactured in strict accordance with both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, highlighting our focus on environmentally responsible operations and sustainable production processes.
The strict requirements of our certified quality management system and ISO accreditations drive the ongoing enhancement of our workplace safety measures and environmental performance. These standards guarantee maximum workplace safety and a sustainable manufacturing approach.
CE marking and additional environmental certifications further demonstrate that our products meet not only the highest quality standards but also advanced sustainability benchmarks.
ISO 14001 Certification
The ISO 14001 certification, introduced in 2016, requires companies to implement an effective environmental management system that enables continuous improvement. Through this certification, HTS TENTIQ demonstrates its commitment to consistently monitoring and reducing the environmental impact of its business operations.
ISO 14001 helps us to optimise waste management, resource consumption and operational costs, while ensuring full compliance with all applicable environmental regulations. This guarantees a sustainable production process and reinforces our sustainability credentials.
By achieving ISO 14001 certification, HTS TENTIQ underlines its forward-thinking and innovative culture in corporate environmental protection – setting new standards in sustainability and environmental performance.
CE Marking
Since 1 July 2013, CE marking has been mandatory within the EU for all construction products used in civil engineering and building works. These products are tested in accordance with harmonised standards that also comply with EU safety and environmental regulations.
By applying CE marking to our products, we as the manufacturer confirm full compliance with all relevant quality standards and environmental certifications. This ensures complete traceability of materials and guarantees adherence to the highest safety standards. Our customers can rely on HTS TENTIQ to consistently apply the strictest quality and safety procedures in both production and assembly, ensuring maximum safety at every stage.
