Fire service halls: Flexibly and functionally designed for rapid emergency response
We place safety and rapid response at the heart of planning a fire service hall, ensuring quick and easy access and exit in the event of an emergency.
In close consultation with you, we design your fire service hall and adapt it to your specific operational requirements. Our insulated temporary buildings are ideal as vehicle bays for fire services, as the integrated thermal insulation prevents firefighting water from freezing. Fire service vehicle halls are often extended to include additional storage space. For temperature-insensitive equipment and supplies, our non-insulated temporary buildings are a suitable solution.
Our most basic version is an industrial canopy with open sides, providing effective protection from rain and direct sunlight. Depending on your needs, we combine different building types to create your customised fire service facility – including the option to integrate a fire station building or office space. Thanks to the flexible and modular system construction, existing buildings can also be expanded or reconfigured at any time.
These are the key aspects we focus on when planning a fire service hall:
- Optimisation of alarm routes and traffic flow
- Compliance with safety distances between moving fire service vehicles and fixed structures in the surrounding area
- Insulation of side walls to prevent firefighting water from freezing
- Automatic doors with short response times
- Integration of a heating system
- Lighting system including emergency lighting
- Compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards, such as DIN 14092-1 for fire service buildings

Advantages of temporary buildings
Robust and high-quality aluminium temporary constructions ensure short delivery times, quick assembly and flexible addition and extension of your storage space. They are both highly weather-resistant and durable, resulting in long-term cost savings for your business.

Sustainable temporary construction
Depending on their equipment, temporary buildings can be dismantled and rebuilt repeatedly in different locations without considerable loss of quality. They are built to last for various decades and at the end of their lifespan, most raw materials are recycled.

Fire service halls as temporary buildings: Custom equipment options for a wide range of requirements
With our wide range of equipment and accessories options, we ensure a fully customised interior design for your fire service hall. In fire service buildings, the focus is on equipping the hall with suitable doors and optimising access routes. We therefore tailor the size of the doors precisely to the height and width of the vehicles housed inside. You also have a broad selection when it comes to door types. Our standard automatic roller shutters are insulated, and we also offer high-speed doors. These fast-action doors, made from durable yet flexible materials, ensure particularly safe and quick access. For a personalised look, our doors are available in a variety of colours.
For the roof cladding of our non-insulated fire service halls, you can choose between a single-layer roof for basic weather protection or trapezoidal steel panels. The side walls of non-insulated temporary buildings can be fitted with PVC fabric walls, trapezoidal sheet metal, or a shatterproof glass facade. Since the temperature in fire service vehicle halls must not fall below 3 °C, we use our insulated temporary buildings for such applications. For the roofing of thermally insulated fire service halls, you can choose between double-layer thermal roof covers or insulated sandwich panels in various thicknesses, offering high thermal performance (U-value) for full insulation. For the side cladding, we use insulated sandwich elements in thicknesses of 40 mm, 60 mm, 80 mm, or 100 mm, or a shatterproof glass facade. For simple roof-only solutions, the side cladding is omitted entirely. Our industrial canopies provide direct protection against the elements and can also be used as entrance canopies.
Our experts also ensure that your hall is equipped with sufficient lighting during the planning process. In fire service halls, self-illuminating light switches and emergency lighting are integrated for safety reasons. Natural light is provided through skylights, wall-mounted light panels, or glass façades. In addition, we include both internal and external lighting systems with energy-efficient LED lights.
For a comfortable indoor climate, we integrate a ventilation system tailored to your specific application. To ensure proper air circulation, our insulated and non-insulated fire service halls with thermal or single-layer PVC covers are equipped with a ventilation opening in the gable. We can also provide a heating system or air conditioning unit upon request.
Flexibility and functionality: The advantages of well-designed fire service vehicle halls
Temporary buildings are the ideal choice for constructing a fire station. They offer maximum flexibility and can be used for all fire service applications. FAQs
A fire service hall – often also referred to as a fire station, fire brigade building, or appliance bay – is a dedicated facility used by fire services. These buildings are commonly constructed either as permanent solid structures or as temporary buildings. Fire service halls provide weather protection for fire engines and other emergency vehicles, helping to preserve their value and ensure they remain in operational condition.
A temporary fire station building can be used for all fire service applications. Depending on the size of the fire brigade, a temporary building can be designed to serve as a vehicle hall, crew room, changing room, control centre, breathing apparatus workshop, hose workshop, vehicle maintenance area, gear room, sanitary facilities, kitchen, and office space.
