Permanent Events and Conference Pavilion at Missouri Hotel Resort

Located just off I-64 in Chesterfield and only 30 minutes from downtown St. Louis, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel is a highly popular venue for weddings, corporate functions and large-scale social events. Due to strong and consistent demand, the hotel had previously relied on hiring traditional pole marquees to expand its event capacity during peak periods. However, as bookings continued to grow, the hotel sought a more permanent, premium, year-round solution that would:

• Extend its existing event and hospitality offering
• Support large-scale functions without repeated rental logistics
• Provide a high-quality, weather-resistant space suitable for all seasons
• Integrate seamlessly with the hotel’s aesthetic and guest experience

To design the best modular space possible, a collaboration team was formed early on between Hilton’s venue coordinators, marquee rental specialists, Traube Tent Company LLC, and HTS TENTIQ as the structure’s manufacturer and technical expert.

HTS TENTIQ supplied two integrated Industrial LX Series aluminium structures to create what is now known as “The Canopy Pavilion”.

Structure Configuration:

1. Main Pavilion: 18.00m x 35.00m x 4.20m
2. Annex: 5.00m x 30.00m x 3.00m

The design combines modern structural elegance with robust engineering. A fully glazed gable-end façade and large glazed wall panels create a bright, open atmosphere, complemented by ABS panelled walls integrated into maintenance-free aluminium framework. Glazed double and single personnel doors were incorporated throughout to ensure seamless flow between interior space and exterior patios.

The pavilion was engineered with full static calculations specific to the Chesterfield site, accounting for wind loading requirements in accordance with IBC standards as well as snow loads up to 100kg/m².

High-quality 650g/m² single-skin PVC roof covers in opaque white enhance natural light diffusion while supporting premium internal lighting installations for evening events.

Manufactured at HTS TENTIQ’s production facility in Germany, the structure was freighted to the United States and installed by an expert team under the supervision of HTS TENTIQ Project Managers. The complete solution was delivered and handed over within 14 weeks from the date of order. It then commenced the internal fit out programme which included HVAC, lighting and furnishings, ahead of its opening.

The result is a sophisticated, permanent event space that significantly enhances the hotel’s hospitality offering. After its grand opening in May 2023, the Canopy Pavilion now accommodates:

• Up to 300 seated guests
• Up to 500 standing guests
