Recycling and Waste Storage Buildings
One of the quickest and easiest ways to increase onsite storage of waste and recycling materials is to use an HTS TENTIQ temporary building. Recycling warehouses and waste storage buildings can be used for collecting, storing and recycling waste materials through waste disposal operations. Therefore, the structure not only needs to encompass a large storage volume but be adapted to the requirements of the different materials and provide static safety.
Thanks to their modular construction, our recycling and waste storage buildings and canopies are manufactured, assembled and ready for use in a short amount of time, offering a fast and efficient solution to increase your operations either temporarily or for permanent applications.
Customise our recycling and waste storage buildings to suit your space
In recent years, the waste and recycling industry has adopted a sustainable way of operating by promoting closed-loop recycling. Therefore, it is important to work in a perfectly planned recycling facility. Warehouse canopies are a popular choice for general storage, ensuring processed waste is kept dry and retains its value. For recycling baler and compactor operations where large equipment is required, non-insulated buildings are ideal, providing a fast, economical solution built directly over in-situ machinery.
Recycling and waste storage buildings for all applications
HTS TENTIQ has an extensive history supplying temporary industrial buildings for many waste management clients. Waste storing, recycling and sorting operations have been housed in our structures, spanning the following waste categories:
- Paper, plastic and glass
- Bulk cargo; sand, gravel, coal, cement or pellets
- Composting
- Alternative fuels
- Problematic, hazardous substances
- Residual waste
Plan an optimal recycling warehouse or waste storage building with HTS TENTIQ
Depending on the specific material and sorting operation, waste and recycling facilities follow very specific space and safety requirements. During planning, the static functions and loads of the storage materials play an important role on the design, engineering and configuration of the structure. We make sure your new canopy, non-insulated or insulated temporary building complies with all necessary structural calculations, industry regulations and waste directives, whilst considering the cost-benefit ratio for your application.
During the planning of a recycling warehouse, special attention is given to:
- Building volume to store goods and process recycling
- Ideal working heights for equipment
- Column-free span width
- Side walls fitted for bulk cargo
- Doors adapted to operational needs
- Consideration of all current laws and regulations
In addition, the ideal building for optimised waste storage often includes office space or sanitary facilities. All HTS TENTIQ modular building systems can easily be extended or attached to existing buildings to suit these additional requirements. This provides the maximum flexibility to your business for now and in the future.
Advantages of temporary buildings for recycling and waste processing

Robust and adaptable structures
Robust and high-quality aluminium temporary structures ensure short delivery times, quick assembly and flexible addition and extension of your storage space. They are both highly weather-resistant and durable, resulting in long-term cost savings for your business.

Sustainable warehouse construction
Depending on their equipment, temporary storage buildings can be dismantled and rebuilt repeatedly in different locations without considerable loss of quality. They are built to last for various decades and at the end of their lifespan, most raw materials are recycled.

Equipment and accessories for recycling and waste warehouse buildings
A temporary warehouse for recycling or waste storage needs to perfectly protect your stored goods. Temporary or semi-permanent storage buildings offer ideal conditions for recycling processes with “squeezer machines” and other large machinery. They are a quick and cost-effective solution that can be built directly above stationary equipment systems, on pre-existing, levelled concrete flooring.
Usually, corrugated steel is used for the side walls of non-insulated recycling warehouses, but PVC walls are also possible. For our insulated temporary buildings, the side walls are made of insulated sandwich panels. Alternatively, some sites do not need to be covered on all sides: canopies are a popular choice for the storage of processed waste, as it stays dry and does not lose value. In this case, the side walls are left open.
Our wide range of equipment ensure efficient work processes. The planning of the doors is also adapted to your operations. From simple sliding doors to electrical roller shutters or sectional doors optimise the recycling process. To sort and separate the different materials, special divider walls can be added internally.
Installing a recycling warehouse or waste storage building
Due to our modular design system, the installation process of our recycling structures or temporary waste storages is handled quickly, efficiently and safely. Components are prefabricated at our production facility in Germany, imported and brought on-site in preparation for the build, along with installation equipment. For most modular recycling or waste storage halls, a telescopic forklift may be enough to assemble the structure. However, for large spans and eave heights, a mobile crane may be required. This will be arranged beforehand by the Project Manager, as part of the build planning process to ensure a smooth installation.
In just days, you will be able to use your new recycling warehouse or waste storage building. In case the structure is not needed any longer, our temporary recycling or waste storage buildings can be taken down and removed just as easily as they are set up.
Rental or purchase options for recycling or waste storage buildings
Whether you are looking to buy or rent your recycling or waste storage building, various factors need to be considered. The financial aspect, time frame and building function are the biggest influences on if buying or renting a waste storage structure is best for the business. Our experts are here to help you find the right solution.
