Gates and doors for temporary buildings: well-designed access solutions for your building
Doors and gates for temporary buildings must function smoothly at all times despite constant use and provide optimal traffic routes. At HTS TENTIQ, we therefore tailor the gate and door system to the specific area of application.
Choose with us from a wide range of door and gate types and optimise your operational processes accordingly.
Safety and efficiency: the importance of doors and gates in building construction
Whether in agriculture, industry or logistics – no building can do without doors and gates, as they provide access for people and entry for machinery and vehicles. This may sound simple, but it involves high demands in terms of safety, ease of use, durability, theft protection and weather resistance. Time also plays a major role, because the faster a gate or door opens and closes, the faster people and machines can enter the building. This reduces heat loss from inside, resulting in greater energy efficiency.
For this reason, a strong focus is placed on matching doors and gates to the working processes of the respective company during building planning. In addition to well-considered placement and the number of gates and doors, the type of doors and gates is also of great importance. Furthermore, a temporary building must be enclosed due to the calculated structural requirements and, depending on the area of application, fitted with one or more gates.
Gates for temporary buildings: an overview of gate solutions
There is good reason why different types of industrial gates exist, as gates for temporary buildings are tailored precisely to the specific application and individual requirements. In addition to the various gate types, the different colour options also ensure a harmonious overall appearance for your building.
You can find all information about the different building gates at a glance in our overview table:
Gate type | Characteristics |

Tarpaulin gates are the most cost-effective sliding gate variant among all industrial doors. They are made from high-quality, durable PVC that complies with international fire safety regulations. Tarpaulin gates are very lightweight and impress with simple manual operation. Thanks to the high quality of the fabric, they are highly stable and weather-resistant, and also offer strong UV protection. This type of building gate therefore represents a fast, simple and affordable solution for storage spaces.
With a tarpaulin gate, access to the building can be restricted, but they do not provide theft protection. They also cannot be locked, meaning the building is not sealed. As a result, tarpaulin gates are the ideal choice for equipping a building used to store non-sensitive goods with a cost-effective industrial gate.

Our sliding gates are operated manually via a rail system with rollers. Depending on requirements and usage behaviour, we use tarpaulin, steel trapezoidal sheet or PU sandwich panels for our sliding gates. This industrial gate opens to the side and is installed on the inside of the building walls.
Sliding gates are therefore space-saving and easy to handle. The guide rail is mounted not on the floor, but at eaves level. This ensures completely barrier-free access for vehicles. As sliding gates can be locked, they also enable secure storage of goods, machinery or vehicles. Sliding gates are a very cost-effective solution and are available in both single-leaf and multi-leaf versions.

Roller shutter doors offer maximum flexibility, as they can be precisely adapted to your building and application. They are available in various sizes and are standardly insulated.
Once opened, this building door is stored in a compact roller curtain, saving space. Lockable roller shutter doors provide a very high level of theft protection. Our roller shutter doors are usually electrically operated and are also available as high-speed doors with a high-performance drive.

Unlike roller shutter doors, sectional doors consist of individual panels that are guided horizontally under the ceiling when opened. Our space-saving sectional doors are available in various sizes and are typically equipped with an electric drive. Although manually operated sectional doors can also be provided, we recommend electrically operated versions due to their easier and more efficient handling at similar cost levels.
Thanks to integrated thermal insulation, heat loss within the building is reduced, making sectional doors ideal for use with insulated temporary buildings. This type of industrial door is also available with an integrated wicket door. This built-in door ensures not only quick pedestrian access but also improved energy efficiency. At the same time, our lockable sectional doors provide a very high level of theft protection for goods, machinery and vehicles. Due to their panel construction, these building doors can also be fitted with acrylic glass viewing windows. In addition, our sectional doors are also available as high-speed doors.

High-speed doors are a special type of roller shutter or sectional door that can be opened and closed very quickly. With electrically operated high-speed doors, vehicles and people can therefore pass through very rapidly. This is particularly essential for companies where controlled temperature regulation inside the building is crucial.
In addition, high-speed doors are designed for frequent opening and closing cycles, making them the ideal choice for operations with high traffic volumes. High-quality, robust materials also ensure that no damage occurs to the door even in the event of impacts.
Doors for temporary buildings: door variants for versatile applications
Our industrial doors not only provide access to your building, but also enable efficient use of the interior space. When planning doors for temporary buildings, we therefore pay close attention to your operational workflows: both the size, number and type of industrial doors are tailored to your application and requirements.
You can find a clear overview of the different industrial doors in our comparison table:
Door type | Characteristics |
|---|---|
Personnel door |
|
Emergency exit door |
|
Glass door |

Automatic door |
|
Personnel door: simple steel doors
Our personnel doors can be installed at any point in a temporary building. These single or double doors are made from galvanised steel, making them very robust and durable. The powder coating used further increases the material’s durability. Depending on requirements, this industrial door can also be fitted with a panic handle. For a distinctive appearance, personnel doors are available in different RAL colours.
Emergency exit door: creating escape routes for emergencies
In the course of escape and rescue routes, emergency exit doors are planned into our temporary buildings to ensure optimum safety in the event of an emergency. Our emergency exit doors are manufactured in accordance with applicable legal standards and regulations. On the inside, special handles such as a panic bar are installed. This allows the door to be released with a single operation even when locked, ensuring safety in all emergency and panic situations. On the outside of an emergency exit door there is only a knob for safety reasons. For special requirements, our emergency exit doors are also available in a fire-resistant version.
Glass door: natural light transmission in temporary buildings
Glazed doors bring natural light into your building and create a visually open appearance. They are therefore ideal for high-traffic areas. For a more individual design, clear, frosted or tinted glass can be selected. The frame of our glass doors can be made from aluminium or plastic. For maximum safety, we exclusively use laminated safety glass. Between the float glass panes, layers of a tear-resistant film are inserted. This shatter-resistant glass does not splinter even when damaged, and no sharp shards are formed. Our glass doors are available as single or double doors.
Automatic door: functionally upgrading entrances and exits
With an automatic door, you enable fast, safe and comfortable access. Thanks to motion-controlled opening, it is the ideal choice for high-traffic entrances and exits and is particularly used in retail environments. Full glazing provides plenty of natural daylight and ensures good visibility as well as a high level of safety. Automatic doors are commonly used in supermarkets, car dealerships, sports halls or schools. This type of door can also be installed at any point in the building.
