Luxury Green Wedding Marquee in Country Manor Gardens

A beautiful country manor house in Hertfordshire contacted HTS TENTIQ for the purchase of a purpose-built permanent marquee. The Grade-II listed manor hotel wanted to upgrade their wedding and event space to suit up to 600 guests. The natural place to expand the manor’s hosting capacity was within the 35-acre manicured garden; a section of which was cleared into a flat asphalt surface.

With the requirement to cater for 600 guests within the new event space, HTS TENTIQ designed, supplied and installed two connected Röder HTS Premium Large Marquees in 10.00m and 20.00m spans. The two adjoining marquees included:

• PVC roof and wall covers with two colour layers: external-facing PVC in opaque green to blend into the manicured gardens and internal-facing in traditional opaque white PVC
• Insulated thermo roof and gable ends for a temperature-controlled environment
• Insulated wall panelling accompanying UPVC glazing and glazed double door entrances
• A 990m² steel subframe floor system with durable wooden interlocking floorboards
• A 10.00m span internal division, including thermo roof gable to separate reception and restroom areas from the main event space
• A 33.00m valley gutter joining the 10.00m and 20.00m marquee sections together whilst diverting rainwater
• A manual roller shutter door for ease of catering and event services integration

After just four months, the country manor house now benefits from a fully functional venue space capable of hosting weddings for 600 guests. HTS TENTIQ provided expert advice to the client throughout the process, from in-depth discussions on the design and specification through to installation with a dedicated on-site Project Manager for the installation.

The final design included an anchoring system for of easy installation straight onto the flat asphalt floor. With the inclusion of the double layered PVC, the light and airy wedding marquee perfectly suits the manicured grounds surrounding the space. Ultimately the luxury wedding marquee provided the perfect backdrop for weddings and events at the manor house going forward.
