Rapid-Build Modular Warehouse for New Battle Karts Experience
Hyper Karting, a leading entertainment operator in Sydney, set out to launch an exciting new attraction – Battle Karts, an immersive augmented videogame experience that blends high-speed go-karting with interactive gaming. To bring this concept to life, the client required a clear-span, fully enclosed indoor structure suitable for karting, lighting effects, and digital projections.
The installation site was the bustling Entertainment Quarter at Moore Park, Sydney, Australia, a location that demanded fast, efficient construction with minimal disruption.
Requirements
Hyper Karting needed a structure that delivered:
- A large, unobstructed internal footprint for safe and smooth go-kart operation
- A high-quality environment to support immersive lighting and gaming effects
- A durable building system capable of withstanding ongoing operational use
- Rapid delivery and installation to meet a fixed launch window in July-2025
Solution
To meet the tight timeline and technical performance requirements, HTS TENTIQ provided a fully insulated modular warehouse system, engineered specifically for indoor karting and lighting-intensive entertainment.
Key elements of the modular structure solution included:
- Rapid Modular Warehouse Deployment: HTS TENTIQ supplied an insulated modular warehouse designed for fast installation without compromising structural performance or interior quality.
- High-Performance Insulated Envelope: This included the use of our Thermo roof system for superior thermal insulation and condensation control as well as insulated sandwich panel walling, providing rigidity, sound reduction, and energy efficiency. These components ensured a stable and comfortable internal environment, critical for both guests and electronic gaming equipment.
- Immersive-Ready Interior: Blackout internal PVC fabric created a controlled lighting environment, essential for the Battle Karts visual effects and projection-based gameplay.
- End-to-End Delivery with Project Partner: HTS TENTIQ worked with trusted project partner SPANIT, who supplied and installed the levelled floor system as well as constructed the warehouse structure from start to finish. This seamless collaboration ensured quality and speed throughout the build.
Despite a tight schedule, the HTS TENTIQ and SPANIT teams delivered the complete structure within the client’s required timeframe. Installation of the modular warehouse was completed in June 2025, enabling the venue to open to the public less than 3 weeks later in July 2025.
The result is a purpose-built, high-performance indoor arena that supports Hyper Karting’s innovative Battle Karts attraction, enhancing customer experience while providing a flexible, durable, and operationally efficient facility.
