Workshop building in prefabricated construction for a machinery rental company

A national machinery rental company required several workshop buildings in prefabricated construction after it had taken over a nationwide heavy machinery rental business. As the locations of the newly acquired company were completely closed, the machinery rental company had to integrate the additional business activities into its existing locations as quickly as possible.

The customer considered constructing permanent buildings, but quickly realised that, given the large number of buildings required, this would be far too slow and expensive. In search of alternatives, the customer came across industrial buildings with aluminium frames, or storage tents as they are also known.

Storage tents are incredibly quick to erect due to their modular construction and can be anchored to existing concrete surfaces. This type of construction enables enormous time and cost savings, as only minimal architectural and structural work and few operations or pieces of equipment are required.

Most companies are also able to continue their operations in full during the construction work and therefore do not suffer any loss in operating time or production.

Despite the incredibly fast and simple installation, buildings from HTS TENTIQ temporary buildings are extremely robust and durable and can be individually designed for any site and any project.

In competition with three other suppliers, HTS TENTIQ was awarded the contract because it was able to convince the customer that, using its own production processes and capacities, the right buildings could be provided on time. The first workshop building in prefabricated construction was designed, manufactured and delivered according to the following specifications:

• 15.00m width x 30.00m length with an eaves height of 5.20m
• Thermally insulated roof
• Wall panels made of composite material
• 2 staff doors
• 3 roller shutter doors
• External guttering system with downpipes
• Installation on an existing concrete surface
• Assembly time – 5 days

After experiencing the rapid delivery and assembly of the first prefabricated workshop building as well as the building’s versatile functionality and durability in operation, the customer was convinced that they had found the perfect solution for the further nationwide integration of the newly acquired rental company. The second site quickly followed with an insulated workshop measuring 10.00m x 20.00m x 6.20m. In addition, two further buildings/sites were planned for early 2019, with additional projects scheduled later in the year.

The rapid and straightforward provision of additional space enabled the customer to distribute the extra tasks across the respective sites within a short period of time and to fully benefit from the acquisition of the new company.
