Temporary commercial building for supermarket
Requirements
To ensure that sales could continue during the structural redevelopment of a supermarket, the client contacted HTS TENTIQ to design and construct a temporary, fully functional retail store for the 18-month project period.
Solution
HTS TENTIQ supplied a commercial building from the L-SERIES measuring 30.00 m x 65.00 m with an eaves height of 4.20 m, quickly creating a functional retail space of 1,950 m² for a supermarket. The building was designed and constructed with an insulated 100 mm sandwich roof, 70 mm insulated side walls, a durable flooring system installed on the existing ground, two electrically operated double doors, access ramps, as well as air conditioning. The construction of the building to full operational readiness took 14 days.
Benefits
After the commissioning of this building, the necessary refurbishment work on the actual store could be carried out, and sales were fully maintained throughout the entire project period. Although the commercial building was custom-made and delivered brand new, the supermarket was able to rent the structure for the required period.
