New logistics centre in Switzerland with an insulated temporary building.

For a growing company, HTS TENTIQ delivered an insulated temporary building with condensation protection as a flexible warehouse solution. In this case study, we show how a cost-efficient construction using thermal roof membranes and sandwich panels enabled a weatherproof temporary building with high energy efficiency to be implemented in a short time.

Requirements

Our customer was in a phase of expansion and therefore required additional weather-protected storage space. During an internet search, the company came across HTS TENTIQ. The new building needed to be as cost-effective as possible, while still providing a certain level of insulation. In addition, the building had to be protected against condensation.

The company contacted us directly and requested expert advice as well as proposed solutions.

Solution

HTS TENTIQ was able to meet the customer’s requirements and deliver and assemble the building within 8 weeks. Double-skin thermal roof membranes were selected for the roof cladding for two reasons: firstly, the two layers prevent the formation of condensation, and secondly, they provide a light level of insulation that met the customer’s requirements. Compared to a solid roof covering, translucent thermal roof membranes allow natural daylight to pass through, meaning that 300-lux lighting is not required during the day. The side walls were clad with sandwich panels.

Benefits

With the new building, HTS TENTIQ was able to successfully meet all of the customer’s requirements. The construction provides weather-protected storage facilities and also impresses with daylight-permeable roof membranes, which reduce energy consumption and costs, as lighting is required almost exclusively during the dark winter months. The customer was highly satisfied not only with the solution itself, but also with the rapid implementation.
