Modular extension for garden centre
Requirements
With a constantly growing range of garden products, a large retail company required additional space in its busy store in good time ahead of seasonally increasing demand. Following a feasibility analysis for a permanent solution, the client’s property management decided that a dismountable building made from prefabricated components was best suited to the overall project in terms of construction speed, manufacturing, delivery, ease of assembly, and cost.
Solution
We designed a modular extension that complies with local building regulations. The structure is 5.00 m wide and 20.00 m long and includes a range of special features, such as double glazing, composite ceiling panels with electric roof windows, emergency exits, and interior lighting. The installation of the extension was carried out without any impact on the main building. When the extension was dismantled again, the main building looked as it did before. No repair work was required.
Benefits
This project was a joint venture project led by the Mar Key Group, one of our customers in the United Kingdom, who also handled the delivery of the industrial temporary building to the end customer.
